STARSKY PARTRIDGE
COMPOSER/MUSICIAN/SOUND DESIGNER
DEATH ON SCENIC DRIVE
"Composer Starsky Partridge‘s punishing and ear-bleeding electronic music score telegraphs that we’re essentially in Hell itself at all times. Seriously, this soundscape is assaultive and might do more to scare away potential viewers than the bursts of shocking, transgressive violence that blow out as the movie progresses. Death is not a fun movie. It’s all style and psychosis. It’s angry and frustrated and mean. Death on Scenic Drive wants to hurt you with its audio/visual bludgeoning and it does exactly that." - ComingSoon.net
UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2003
"Another highlight of UT2003 is its rousing, martial musical score, which would be right at home in some epic sci-fi military film. At its best, it combines symphonic grandeur with the galloping rhythms of heavy metal.
creating the perfect mood music for a game like this. - GAMESPOT
ShAPE - THE FEASTING
"ShAPE has created a superb modernized mix of 70's and 80's electronica, alternative rock and ambient sounds that really captures the listener and draws you into the overall experience. There is very little "structure" to most of their songs with surprising twists and turns in tempo, emotion and aggression. This is meant to be listened to and absorbed; it's not something to put on and half-hazardly listen to. Beneath the perceived anger and chaos of ShAPE's sound, lies a beauty and salvation for those patient enough to discover it." - Metalreviews.com
DEATH ON SCENIC DRIVE
"The experimental electronic sounding score that powered the ambiance of the film - the work by Starsky Partridge - was phenomenal. Think Disasterpeace in It Follows and you'll start to get the idea". - ttf13.com
UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2004
"Sound in the game is also high caliber, with many sounds carried over and remade from the original. The rocket launcher still has its ratchet loading noise as well as the steamy hiss upon firing. The flak cannon and shock rifle sounds seem to pack more of a punch, and the Bio-rifle just sounds much more gooey. The music in game sets the mood perfectly for each level, never sounding out of place or unwelcome.

DEATH ON SCENIC DRIVE
"Wow, Gabriel Carrer's Death on Scenic Drive certainly went off script in terms of my expectations vs reality. Here I was all settled in for a home invasion horror and instead get a trippy art house kaleidoscope. It is all held together by one of the greatest soundtracks I have heard for a long while courtesy of Starsky Partridge." - therottingzombie.co.uk
ShAPE - THE FEASTING
"Invoking emotions akin to Edvard Munch’s The Scream, Partridge’s tortured vocals cut through deeply saturated layers of instrumentation that range from sparse digital harmonies to overwhelming chaotic rhythms. Awake. Rise". - Mark Janes
